our story
We just love bagels!
What began as baking bagels for friends and social gatherings quickly grew into a true passion. Food has always been our love language. A way to connect, create, and care for others. So turning that passion into a business felt like a natural fit.
The name Jack’s Bagel Shop was inspired by our son, Jack. Jack was born with a rare genetic condition that affects copper metabolism and transport in his body. Each year, a portion of our proceeds is donated to Seattle Children’s Hospital to support genetic disease research, helping fund advancements for rare conditions like Jack’s. Every bagel we sell helps contribute to that mission.
Currently, we operate under a cottage food license, meaning our bagels are made fresh at home and sell for personal orders on the weekends only. We have a kitchen downtown where we make our bagels we sell for wholesale and catering. Each batch is baked on a stone hearth, giving our bagels that perfect New York–style crunch on the outside and soft, fluffy texture inside — a rare find in the Pacific Northwest!
Thank you for supporting our small business and helping us move closer to our dream of opening a storefront. Every order makes a difference in our family, our community, and beyond.
